About ESPRESSO AND MILK

Located at 20 N Wacker Dr Ste 105, Chicago, IL 60606, ESPRESSO AND MILK operates as a coffee shop serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–3 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, espressoandmilk.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 280 reviews, which is a strong result for a coffee shop in Chicago and suggests consistent service.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was searching for hojicha in the area and came across this place but was not blown away in the slightest. I got honey in it and it wasn’t too sweet but the hojicha taste was really lost with the milk. It was quite expensive too. The cafe itself is not warm and welcoming, they want people in and outβ€”there are no seats or bathrooms.

I visit Espresso & Milk Chicago daily during my work week. The staff, along with the atmosphere and aesthetic, is absolutely incredible. If you’re looking for an authentic, high quality, coffee/bakery experience, you won’t be disappointed. The staff remembers me and my business partner when we arrive. The manager runs the ship like a well-oiled engine. Instead of Starbucks, give this place a shot first.

A buzzing coffee stop in the Loop - the space is clean and modern, though it’s strictly to go without any seatings indoor. There are plenty of creative coffee options - I tried the black sesame latte, which was smooth with just the right touch of sweet. A great spot for a quick mid day caffeine fix.

Sleek modern establishment with excellent coffee, super friendly baristas and highly engaged owner. We felt welcome the moment we walked in. Baristas are experts at their craft, carefully measuring and preparing each puck until just right while collaborating and sharing beat practices. I witnessed what looked like a nice puck being discarded because a senior employee wasn’t satisfied with its preparation. Sam the owner oversees the operation and loves talking about coffee and the source of his beans. Pride of ownership exhibited across the entire team. Cappuccino and cortado exuded strong arabica notes and crema was excellent. Americano also prepared expertly. Steam pressure is delivered via a modern under counter system which likely contributes to the high quality. There is no seating as small establishment is located in the opera building. Do yourself a favor and enjoy their excellent espresso and milk.

Very busy and popular spot with unique menu. There is still a line close to closing time but got my order in about 10 mins. Staff was friendly and helpful. Got the pink guava mocha, the chocolate sauce is rich and thick. It was a nice tasty chocolate treat with a hint of fruitiness.
